Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 20 October 2026

Scope of the Policy and the Services Covered

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all bookings and purchases made through presswirvo for specialised courses in live production decks and control rooms. These courses cover multi-camera switching, live broadcasting techniques, real-time video operation, and professional management of television and streaming productions. The policy governs payments for course fees, any associated materials, and related services provided to customers based in the United Kingdom. It does not extend to third-party products or services accessed through external links.

Prices, Currencies, Taxes, and Additional Charges

All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of applicable Value Added Tax (VAT) at the current UK rate unless stated otherwise. Additional charges may apply for optional extras such as extended access to course recordings or certification fees. presswirvo reserves the right to adjust prices for future bookings, but confirmed orders will be honoured at the agreed rate. Currency conversion fees for international payments are the responsibility of the customer and are not controlled by presswirvo.

Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation, and Security

We accept payments via major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and approved digital wallets. All transactions are processed through secure third-party gateways compliant with UK payment standards. Payment authorisation occurs at the time of booking, and funds are held until the contract is confirmed. presswirvo does not store card details. Customers should ensure sufficient funds are available to avoid declined transactions.

Order Confirmation, Booking Process, and Contract Formation

A booking is confirmed once payment is successfully authorised and an email confirmation is sent to the customer. The contract between the customer and presswirvo is formed at this point. Customers receive details of the course schedule, access instructions, and terms at confirmation. No contract exists until this stage, allowing for corrections prior to payment.

Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, customers have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of booking confirmation. During this time, cancellation is permitted without penalty provided the course has not commenced. If the course begins within the cooling-off period with explicit customer consent, the right to cancel is lost for digital content and services already accessed.

Refund Eligibility, Exclusions, and Non-Refundable Items

Refunds are available for cancellations within the 14-day period if no course access has occurred. Exclusions include partial course completion, failure to meet technical requirements on the customer side, or purchases of non-refundable promotional bundles. Digital course materials and live session recordings are non-refundable once accessed. Promotional discounts may result in adjusted refund amounts based on the original payment.

Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund

To request a refund, customers must submit a written request via the contact form on the Contacts page or by emailing info@nfts.co.uk. The request should include the booking reference number, date of purchase, and reason for cancellation. Requests must be made within the applicable time limits. 01494 671234 may be used for follow-up enquiries where necessary.

Inspection, Approval, Rejection, and Notification of Refund Decisions

Upon receipt, presswirvo will inspect the request against eligibility criteria within 10 business days. Customers are notified of approval or rejection via email. If rejected, reasons such as course access or timing will be explained. Customers may appeal once with additional evidence within 7 days of notification.

Refund Method, Processing Time, and Receipt of Funds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 business days of approval. Bank transfers or card refunds may take additional time depending on the provider, typically up to 30 days for international cards. Customers receive confirmation once processed. No cash refunds are provided.

Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions, and Promotional Offers

For digital course content, the 14-day cancellation right ends upon download or access. Subscriptions for ongoing course modules require 30 days' notice for cancellation after the initial term. Promotional offers are subject to their own terms and may not qualify for full refunds if used. Live sessions cannot be refunded if attended.

Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks, and Suspected Fraud

Failed payments result in automatic booking cancellation. Duplicate charges are investigated and refunded upon verification. Chargebacks are treated as cancellations and may lead to account restrictions. Suspected fraud triggers immediate hold on services and reporting to authorities where required under UK law.

Mandatory Consumer Rights in the United Kingdom

This policy does not affect statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, or PECR. Customers retain rights to remedies for faulty services or misrepresentations. Nothing in this policy excludes liability for negligence or fraud.
